Last night we went to the Kick-Off for the Children’s Support League’s 2010 Heart of the Home Tour at the Claremont Hotel. This home tour is a great annual event that raises funds to help at-risk children in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. The CSL has been doing this critically needed work for over 20 years and Jetton Construction is proud to once again be an underwriter.
The spirit in the room was positive and hopeful. After two years of a down economy many felt that things are finally turning around. But the impact of the recession on the nonprofits served by the Children’s Support League has been severe. These organizations are struggling more than ever to maintain their much needed programs. The work and funding of the CSL is in high demand.
The good news is that attendance for the tour this year is expected to be fantastic. The tour spans two days, Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24. Homes are open from 10 to 4 on both days. Tickets are available on line HERE.
